You haven't said what versions of Project and Windows you are using but in Project 2003 and Windows XP Pro, open the File Open dialog box and switch the views to "Details." Right mouse click on the column headings and you find a menu of file attributes you can choose to add to the display, including the fields you find in the File Properties dialog for all your project files.

Hi,
I was just wondering if I can add a column in the open dialogue box. I am
talking about the dialogue box you get when you log in to MS Project
Professional and click on File Open.
The reason for that is: I wanted to sort the projects that appear in the
dialogue box. Our company has a lot of projects. I wanted to sort by project
managers/status.
Does anyone have a solution for this?
