Tracking Gantt II

Hello
I haven’t explored MS Project completely so I don’t know whether this is
possible, but thought of trying it. I have a task that is scheduled to
complete on April 30. So I start tracking the task by updating the percentage
complete. Say when I enter 35% complete, the task status shows late. So from
this I understand that, if I progress in this pace, I am going to be late in
meeting the deadline so I should rush up and finish it or manually move this
due date to the future. My question here is, 'Is it possible for MS Project
to anticipate the late schedule?' In other words, besides giving me the
status as late, can it layout the anticipated due date if the task is carried
out in this current pace. Any suggestions… Thanks in advance.
