Project 2003 after KB833633

Hi all
I have followed Microsoft Knowledge base article 833633 "How to strengthen
the security settings for the Local Machine zone in Internet Explorer" due
to the recent security scares.
Problem is, now when I try run Project 2003 it hangs, regardless of
operating system. By resetting DWORD 1400 back to 0 in the Local Machine
Zone, project works fine. DWORD 1400 is the ability to allow Active
Scripting.
My question is; what Active Scripting is used in Project 2003 starting up
and is there a part of Project 2003 that can be uninstalled to prevent the
problem.
