I agree that the registration of the activeX objects is a rotten pain for a
certain percentage of machines. The reason why you need to go to the command
prompt is that the hidden files don't get deleted from Windows Explorer. If
you have clients with hundreds of desktops, then your clients are likely to
have SMS or another remote management system that can be a big help in these
situations.
