Gary,
IE was removed and reinstalled prior to reloading MDAC and Active X, so it should be up to date. I think you're on to something with the Pop-up blocker, but I'm not sure where it is coming from. I'll have to investigate some more. I'll let you know what I find. I'll check the SP's on the server as well.
