Jim:
Something is interfering with the machine's access to the database. Could it
be that a popup blocker is installed on this machine? Any other type of
browser add-ins? Is the browser an up to date version?

I deleted the Active X controls and reinstalled them again (going through the DOS window). I still had problems. I noticed messages saying error on page on the browser status bar. When I click there, I get the following: > > Line: 1756 > Char: 3 > Error: The specified procedure could not be found > Code: 0 > URL: hppt://project/projectserver/admin/sec_users.asp > > > This enbironment is a pworkgroup, not an AD, but I an get from this machine to other mahcines without any problems. I can access the server through PWA just fine with the exception of 1 machine. The server is a trusted site and I tried removing and reinstalling Active X controls on this PC. I removed them via a DOS screen such that I got the hidden files as well. After reinstalling the Active X controls, I still have issues. > > > > When I log in as Administrator or a member of the Administrator group, I can't see the users when I go to Users and Groups. When I go to the Project Center, a Loading... message comes up, then it flashes a quick message which I believe says no projects have been published for this user, and PWA goes back to the PWA Home Page. When I go to the Configure Server page, the machine hangs for an inordinately long time, with the Loading data... message and an hour glass. (Inordinately long time = upwards of 10 minutes). When it finally does come back, all that really happens is the hour glass goes away and the Loading data... message is still there, but the connection appears to be dead. No data is updated on the server. > > > > This happens regardless of the user account I use to access the machine. I can get to the server via the MS Project 2003 client and open and publish projects and other data just fine. It's only PWA that has issues. All the other machines access PWA just fine as well. The machines are XP Pro. The browser's homepage is not Google, so the pop-up blockers should not be an issue. > > > > The only anomaly in my mind is that the network is a workgroup environment, not AD or NT domain services. > > > > Any help on this one is greatly appreciated.
