We tryed to create test project with huge number of tasks (about 1000) on
PS2002 and the same project on PS2003 on Win2003 box (it's important). You
can simply repeat our experiment trying this:
Create empty project via local MS Project client and populate its with tasks
like this
TestTask10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000
0000000000000000000000000001111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111
1111111111111111111111111111111111111111122222222222222222222222222222222222
22222222222
All other tasks properties leave by default. Using clipboard, create about
1000 tasks (1->2->4->8->16 etc).
Save this project on server and use PWA for opening it.
Create similar project on PS2002.
Try to measure PWA loading time for remote client (it's important) against
both servers and compare its.
In our case, loading time were 25 sec for PS2003 and less then 5 sec for
PS2002.
Of course, CPU power and memory amount are the same for both machines.
