Right now, we are using Fixed Unit tasks. The reason is, it seems you
have to set tasks up in that fashion in order for MS Project Time
Entry to apply correctly.

HOWEVER, we aren't using time entry anymore. It became cumbersome and
we have gone to plans that are manually updated through review
meetings. We also simply do not care about work hours. We are
building IT systems and do not think in our situation that adding
resources or subtracting resources from a task automatically increases
or decreases the amount of time needed to complete. The resources are
just for informational purposes only (so that folks understand what
they are involved in). What we DO care about are DATES.

On tasks that have not yet started, how can I change the estimated
finish date WITHOUT MS Project changing the Start date on me? What I
would rather see (which is how tasks that have started behave) is when
the Finish date is moved out, the duration increases.

Thanks,
