Can you please tell me where can i find WM6.0? I have the same problem you had, downgrading WM6.1 to WM6.0.

I need some help.

Thanks

I made the upgrade some days ago from htc official site from wm6.0 to
wm6.1.
The upgrade was succesfull, but some program as Tcpmp dont work
anymore.

So I have the intention to return to wm6.0.

I found some imagine of the wm6.0 version of my rom by emule.

Now the question is: Can i effectively downgrade my Htc cruise
(polaris) without problem? there are risks of hanging the Ppc in an
irreversible way?

Why Htc ask for my serial number to download the wm6.1 upgrade?
It is possible that the upgrade can run only on the device with that
specific serial number?

In other word, can I use the downgrade I found by emule on my Polaris
that has a different serial number than that relevant to the file
downloaded?

Thanks a lot and sorry for my english....

I don't know about the HTC cruise but I have taken a Sprint Mogul from WM6.1
back to WM6.0.

I originally upgraded my Mogul to a version of WM6.0 that had a GPS.

Then when HTC came out with WM6.1 I upgraded to that and I liked it at first
but I didn't like was done to the "Internet Sharing" in WM6.1.

FYI the "Internet Sharing" in WM6.1 would *not* allow me to have Intenet on
my Mogul at the same time I "shared" it with another device via bluetooth or
USB.

just to better understand: your Sprint Mogul is a branded name of a Htc
product?
in other words, when you downloaded the rom Upgrade/downgrade htc asked
you the serial number of the Ppc?
If yes, and this notwithstanding, the *downgrade* was immediately
succesfull?

Thanks a lot

Ok, I now know that print mogul is a Htc device.

So...no difficulties during the downgrade?, and....the RUU with wm6.0
was your original file that you previously backed up, or was found in
emule?

Thanks

you
succesfull?

I know of two different ways to completely reset the Mogul. One is to use
the Settings->System->Clear Storage and the other is to hold some buttons
down and hit the reset button.

Both those would only go back to the Operating System I loaded from the
computer and not back to what was on the Mogul before.

Thanks for your answer.

My question was different: as I were unsatisfied of windows mobile 6.1,
I asked regarding the possibility to reinstall in same way wm6.0.
I.e I was searching for a downgrade.

Something as, after a change from xp to vista, to come back to xp.

Ok, the question as an aswer: yes, this is possible, but it is
necessary to find a rom upgrade to wm6.0 and I found it in the web (and
also with eMule).

At present I'm running with satisfaction WM6.0 and i'm seeing a video
stream from my Ip camera within my lan (but I can also do the same from
the web).

Conclusion: if you know very well wm6.1, you can avoid it.
About the same for vista.

That sounds pretty neat, can you give me some more information on the
software/hardware you use to do that?

TIA

here some answers for you only if you have a Htc model.

No particular hardware required, only an active synch usb connection
with a pc (Xp or Vista)

1-Difficult way
go to xda-developers where you can find all informations you need and
also a lot of personalized cooked rom. All the necessary informations
are well mixed and messed up and a headache is assured.

2-very simple way (but need to be lucky)
go to the ftp site of xda developers (ftp://ftp.xda-developers.com/),
search for your model, and if you are lucky you will find the rom
upgrade you need.

I were lucky :-)).
