I have found my Sprint HTC Touch Pro to be excellent for reading ebooks. The
excellent resolution makes it easy to read, despite the overall small size.

An iPaq running windows mobile is likely the best fit for your
requirements.
Enjoy!

Hi all,
I have owned several PDAs and now I'm on a Samsung Omnia which is my
cellphone as well.
However I've found that I would really like to have a PDA for reading
eBooks and PDF documents, and also for the occasional web browsing.
Therefore I decided it might be a nice thing to have something
separate from my Omnia something with a much larger screen that I can
use for reading mostly.
So I need a recommendation because it has been years since I owned a
PDA that was not also my cellphone.
Here are my preferences:
1. LARGEST screen possible. I cannot over-state this it is #1
preference as large a screen because I'll be doing LOTS of reading on
it.
2. FAST CPU... my friend recently got a used ipaq - I used to own an
ipaq as well, and though I'd been happy with them, he seems to have
trouble he says it is quite slow. Since my current phone/pda is a very
recent model I'm very used to FAST performance. I'd like something
with a really good CPU.
3. Good battery life. I'll be spending probably 80% reading pdf files
and maybe 20% using my wifi connection. I am fully aware that wifi is
a battery killer and I know that from many other products I've
experienced it with. So given that I know that already, I want a
product with a really good battery life to accomodate this occasional
wifi use.
Aside from those preferences in terms of what is important to me, it
MUST be windows mobile and I should at least be able to use version 5
or 6. I know from experience quite a few of the units I've owned have
been upgradable to newer versions of winmo so even if the product
originally had something a bit older, as long as it will run a recent
version like 5 or 6, I don't mind doing an upgrade.
Again, of utmost importance is a really nice screen size.
Recommendations are appreciated.
I am fond of manufacturers like Asus, I am indifferent about HP, and I
hate Sony products so that might give you an idea of my preference in
terms of reliability of manufacturer.
Thanks in advance for any advice anyone can offer.
