Newsgroup Reader?

Does anybody here use something other than Outlook Express or Windows Mail for the newsgroups?
I've always been happy with OE, and for a time, Windows Mail, which came with Vista on my laptop. But now, it sucks!
It's bad enough that it sometimes doesn't work properly. Often, and several times today, I go to a newsgroup and it won't show any posts after, say, 2005 or 2003. It's like it doesn't know what year it is or something. Very annoying.
It's also using huge amounts of memory. I have over 3gb of available RAM, and Windows Mail uses anywhere between 1.5gb to 2.5gb. This would merely annoy me if it was using all that space for messages, but no, when I click on other folders or, worse, newsgroup, it can take several minutes for messages to come up. I don't feel like waiting for SP2 and hoping it'll fix this.
I've got Microsoft Outlook. It's nice and all, but it's way more than I need, and, as far as I know, I can't use it for newsgroups.
I want something simple. I read newsgroups, and I post to them now and then. That's about it.
I'd be happy with just a newsgroup reader, but if it also does Email, even better. Again, my needs are simple. Send and receive Email, multiple inboxes, and, if Heaven is smiling upon me, a junk mail function, although I can live without it.
Please, by all that is Holy, please suggest something better!
Thank you!
CS
