Qmail handing on message

For some reason, my sync of NNTP is hanging in the alt.os.linux.ubuntu newsgroup. As depending on how I started the sync, the offending message seems to be either 317,069 or 72,043. I've tried emptying the directory on my pocket pc, and everything from the menu that remotely looks like it might be a method of getting past a certain message.

Is there a way to "tell" Qmail to show everything on the server as read or to bypass one message?

Maybe I should add that all my other newsgroups are functioning normally and I also tried deleting and then re subscribing to alt.os.linux.ubuntu and that had no effect.
