taking me too literally - but similar code base I would guess
WM6 certainly looks and behaves like xp
Cool, thanks.
Winmobile could probably best described as a solution that does a lot of
things imperfectly, unlike a device that does a few things really well. I
prefer the former, since the capabilities remain quite broad. With that
stated, yes it is similar to the look and feel to XP. Of course, with the
push MS is making to smartphones (no touchscreen) , I would expect the user
interface to continue to differentiate from the desktop appearance. One
prime example of this is with the smartphone textbox, which no longer is a
simple box with scroll windows as it has been in practically all previous
instances of windows.
That is, WM6 on a PPC looks and behaves like XP... WM6 on a smartphone. not
as much as it did with WM5, moreso than it probably will with WM7.
Do I digress since this is a PocketPC newsgroup, not a smartphone newsgroup?
Considering that, according to Microsoft, Pocket PCs no longer exist (they
are windows mobile devices), I would suspect not.
Too bad too - I REALLY liked the very capable swiss army knife-esque Pocket
PC with its desktop-like interface.
Sorry about that - this reply turned into a rant. :)
