Is there a way to force my HTC TyTn2 to keep its screen on when in
call. At the moment it'll stay on for a few seconds and then go to
sleep. So if I'm in a call centre menu system I keep having to press
the power button to get the thing to wake up again so that I can use
the on-screen keypad - which makes the whole process all the more
tedious. I would like the screen to stay on permanently when in call.

Any ideas, I've had a scout around its settings but have not found an
option to do this (its a Windows Mobile Professional).

There is a simple registry key to do this, though I am not sure
what it is. The tool at the above link will set it, and many
other options for you. Be careful with it though. SOme settings
can have strange side effects. For example, changing how PIE
works can cause problems in Inbox since all emails are treated as
HTML of sorts, which is why the addresses are hyperlinked. Do one
setting at a time if you choose to use other features and see if
there are any side effects before going to another one.

That seems to have done the trick.

Thank you for pointing me at what appears to be a very useful tool.

I also want to see this issue addressed by HTC making this configurable and
have contacted them about it. I suggest that you do the same and hopefully
they'll include this fix in future ROMs for the TyTN II (that way when you
need to hard reset you don't loose the ability to have this adjustable nor
do you need to reinstall software). Another bit of software (free) which
offers this feature (and lots of other adjustments - although I've not tried
it) is called Kaiser Tweak.
