That's kinda hard to address long distance... too many possibilities.

Think I would start out with the default file explorer rather than a third party one do achieve "lowest common denominator" then, if successful with connecting, move up to resco.

We have almost no information about your device (make, model, exact os) nor info about any connect other than ping.

Can you connect to the share with other computers?

Do you have an activesync connection made when you try to connect? (if so, disconnect it)

What's the share name? (any spaces, non alpha/numeric characters)

and do you have simple file sharing set

what, if any group permissions are in place?

what are the share settings?

I don't think I can help, but info on the above will allow others to give better answers.
