Re: Exchange sync on USB fails, server not found

In Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1 I have this checked off under "connection settings'

I have discovered that the Treo does not pull a local IP address. I do not know if this is normal but but the IP is 169.xxx.xxx.xxx which isn't routable.

When I am cradled and there is a USB connection, I can't browse the network.

In Connections - Advanced - Select Network - "Programs that automatically connect to a private network" I have "My Network Place" selected. I do not have a proxy so if I go to "Proxy settings" and check off "this network connects to the Internet", the check box unchecks itself on the next visit.

Help!

Addendum:

I have no Internet connectivity when my Treo is cradles, but I do have local
network connectivity. The cellular service gets disabled when it is
cradled.

In Activesync, choose "File > "Connection Settings" and set the "This
computer is connected to:" field to "The Internet".
