voice "notes" files (files marked with a speaker icon) are wav files...

they have the extension .wav where actual notes files have the extension ..pwi

if the file icon is a "note" and the speaker icon is "within" the note, it can only be synced as an outlook data object... extraction options and how to "sync notes" at;

however, even it they are wav files on the ppc, they "sync" as outlook objects...
