Tech-Archive recommends: Speed Up your PC by fixing your registry

Hi,
You are correct. You should try downloading WMDC and reinstalling it.

I've been under the impression that activesync was not used with
Vista... Vista has that new mobile utility. Is there a way to use
activesync with Vista?

Hi,
Did you install ActiveSync after upgrading to Outlook 2003? ActiveSync
has
to adjust itself to the version of Outlook that is installed and this
only
occurs at install time.

I've had my PocketPC (Loox n560 - WM5) sync'ed with my XP desktop for
years... No real issues. Yesterday, I purchased a new Vista notebook,
and
tried to get the Loox sync'ed.

I installed my Office 2003 onto the notebook.

Everything seemed to work (Contacts, notes, etc), except the
calendar. For some reason, I got two new, blank appointments inserted
into both my PPC and my outlook (So
SOMTHING is going on here). Nothing from my PPC would go onto the
notebook.

Several times during sync'ing, an error came up saying there was a
problem
with Microsoft Office System Software, and Outlook shut down. I
manually
forced two updates (per the suggestion), but it still seems to do
that, and consistantly whenever I delete and set up a new
partnership.

My contacts seemed to sync just fine. Can anyone tell me what's going
on
with my Calendar?
