Which one...BT or plug-in?
Get the one that you can type on.
I had a hardwired foldable Palm keyboard that I could type on.
Have a Bluetooth folding keyboard. The keys are a tiny bit closer ~10% together. Just close enough that I can't type on the damn thing.
And the key travel is such that you can't tell if you've pressed the key,
so I get a lot of missing characters.
And don't plan on typing with it on your lap.
If it's not on a hard/flat surface. The interlocking tabs that
hold it flat are not nearly strong enough to withstand lap use...
not to mention that it will flop around.
And don't forget to unlatch it before you try to fold it up.
EASY to break...but you'd never do that anyway...right?

Bluetooth has driver issues. Make sure the keybord you get has drivers
for the OS version and bluetooth stack that you have. Axims have multiple versions of each with the same model number. Not sure if this
applies to the X51V.

Many of the bluetooth keyboards are no-name. Mine says 'Smart Keyboard', but it'd rebranded by many vendors.
Finding correct/updated drivers is an issue for many. There's a lot
of compatibility, but it's not easy to find it.

So, get one that you can use, then choose from available interfaces.
If you can get one rebranded by a major vendor with support,
you're more likely
to be able to get updates later for your next pda/os.

I've found that the bluetooth keyboard with the X51v is difficult
to use because of all the mouse clicking you need to do anything.
There exist bluetooth keyboard/mice combinations. If you're gonna
have to pay new retail price, you might consider the incremental
increase to get mouse functionality.
