In a nutshell: use for example SKTools to clean up the power-on notification queue. It has nothing to do with \Windows\Startup, as has also been pointed out in the Bible above.

Thank you for the suggestions, I am an experieced PC user but new to handhelds and I think these links will be very useful.
Now I'll gonna try....
