Re: Autostart programs

I recommend following my blog because his q is also answered there, in the
Safe Mode Bible (
http://www.pocketpcmag.com/blogs/index.php?blog=3&p=1255&more=1&c=1&tb=1&pb=1 )

In a nutshell: use for example SKTools to clean up the power-on notification
queue. It has nothing to do with \Windows\Startup, as has also been pointed
out in the Bible above.

I have an ASUS A696 pda.
I've installed and then uninstalled Viamichelin navigator but now, every
time I switch on the device, an alert (Notification error) appears,
saying: "Can't start \Programmi\Viamichelin\navigator\GPSUtility.exe".

Autorun and "Esecuzione automatica" folders contains no links at this
application.
Searching all the registry, no GPSUtility string found.
I.ve tried to edit some db with dbview but this program doesn't fine any
database.
I have some ideas that the .vol files in the root directory contains some
informations on startup programs, but these files are not editable and not
readable with common software tools like file explorer or Total commander.
Unfortunately the rom image of this pda is not present on the ASUS
site(too recent model?), so I cant restore the O.S. and I must resolve the
problem.
Could somebody help me?
Thanks

Steve
