First, make sure you follow my blog - I've elaborated on this very issue at
http://www.pocketpcmag.com/blogs/index.php?blog=3&p=377&more=1&c=1&tb=1&pb=1
Second, all current TFT screens have a good response time (as opposed to
earlier (D)STN screens used in various Handheld PC's and the Jornada 52x/54x
series).
Third, I also recommend

Hi!
I have what I think is a "stuck" pixel on my PPC. It can be seen on a
black
background; its value is red. I red somewhere that a pixel is made of
three
sub-pixels (one red, one green and one blue.) I guess my red sub-pixel for
that particular pixel is somehow always on. I read about "unsticking"
stuck
pixels by playing videos that quickly cycle through red/green/blue colors
and/or by applying slight pressure on the area containing the pixel. Since
we are talking about a PPC, I can't really apply preasure on the actual
LCD
screen can I ? since all I would apply pressure on would be the touch
matrix... Anyway, I wrote a program to quickly cycle red/green/blue colors
for the pixel with the problem. Note that when I want to color the pixel
"green", my pixel actually shows as yellow so at least that means the
pixel
"kind of works"... red + green = yellow.. Anyway, should I cycle these
colors only for that particular pixel or should I cycle the surrounding
pixels as well? Also, I am assuming that I have to do it as fast as the
response time of the TFT screen anyway, right? So, what is the response
time
for the TFT screen of a hx2490b ipaq PPC? Anyone know?
Thanks!
.
