You may also want to check out Sound Recording Bible (
http://www.pocketpcmag.com/blogs/menneisyys/112005SoundRecorderApps.asp ),
I've explained what alternative apps there are to combat this problem and
what advantages the other apps offer.
NoteM (recommended by Beverly) is a nice app. However, if you plan to record
mainly speech, you may want to opt for Resco instead.

When I record a voice note ( a song, e.g. ) the recording stops after
approx. 4 minutes, despite the fact that the file is stored on an SD card
with plenty of memory.
Is there any way to increase the duration to as long as needed ??
Thanks.
