Jasper,
what BT dongle do you use? I tried to use a BlueSoliel one which like you I found useless as I could do nothing I wanted with it.
I had a brief look for a different one but got fed up with wading through the many BS ones I found on a search

Thank you, but I am only using the Soleil driver because I seem to be
missing the XP SP2 native one. I tried uninstalling the Soleil driver
but the "bthprops.cpl" command still didn't work.
That is interesting, even if I don't have any bluetooth devices
connected to my PC I can still bring up bthprops.cpl, which I would
think you should be able to as well. The only other suggestion I
would have is a system restore to a date previous to the isntall of
the Soleil's drivers.
