Hi,
I'm having exactly the opposite problem and it's driving me nuts!
My proxy settings won't persist.
I'm trying to use my m3100 (HTC tytn type device) via wireless and usb activesync in the office. We have an ISA server and thus I've entered the proxy details including port 8080.
The wireless connects OK, but I cannot browse the web, every time I set the proxy settings they immediately revert back to no proxy.
I've tried using the 'my work network' settings and I've tried setting up a new one - both behave in the same way, I enter the proxy details, and as soon as I go back to view them, the boxes are unticked and the settings gone.
I've tried with the decive connected to the PC and disconnected, soft and hard resets, and am now at a loss.
I've had pocketpc devices back to the cassiopeia and original ipaq and nothing's so far been this annoying.
I'd be grateful for any help anyone can offer as this is seriously hampering the usefulness of this little device and may indeed ultimately contribute to it's untimely demise!
Regards,
Chris.

Hi,
I have a small problem which drives me nuts! I have a Dell Axim 30i
and connect to the internet via DSL and a wireless connection. The DSL
router is a D-Link DSL-G604T. I am using Windows Vista on my PC.
On the Pockect PC under Start - Settings - Connections - Connections -
Advanced - Select Networks - Edit - Proxy Settings the Pockect PC
keeps on setting the "This network uses a proxy server to connect to
the Internet" and the ProxyServer is set to "nc3". If this is set, I
obviously can't get anything from the Internet. So I delete the proxy
server and uncheck the check box. It then works for a while until it
stops working again (i.e in the middle of downloading my RSS feeds
etc!). If I check the proxy settings, it is back to as it was before
with the "nc3" setting!
I wonder where the proxy settings come from. Which application sets
it? Does it come from the router (I checked the settings on the router
again and again and can't find anything!)
So if anyone has any ideas, I would very much appreciate if you would
post it here.
Thanks in advance!
Cheers
Peter
