'Jeffrey Min [MSFT Wrote:

considering
this feature for future releases.
The closest you can get right now is to use Empty Deleted Items =
Manually,
but of course deleted messages pile up on your device, and they will
be
deleted from the server once you try to remove them. It sounds like
you've
already tried this and it's still unacceptable.
Hopefully this doesn't make your device completely useless... Have you
considered some of the 3rd party email clients available for WM5?
Power
users such as yourself might enjoy the finer grain customization
possible
with some of these 3rd party apps.

I am trying to get used to WM email deletions being permanent (deleting
server email), but it is tough. Every pop email client I have ever used
(Outlook, Outlook Express, Treo) had a setting where you could not only
"Leave mail on server" (which WM does automatically), but an option to
"Delete mail on server when client message is deleted" (yes or no
option) or something similar. PLEASE fix the WM email client so it
does not automatically delete server email when the phone client copy
is deleted. I use my Samsung Blackjack for occasional "memo" copies of
emails but do not want phone-server email synchronization. I would like
to "clean out" my phone email and know that it will still be dowloadable
to my PC whn I get to it. Since there seem to be several opinions on
this, please make it at least an option.
