Hi,
You can view the data most simply by connecting your receiver to your
desktop PC serial port. If the data are ASCII (which the Garmin protocol IS
NOT), then you could use HyperTerminal. Baring that, you can download my
Virtual Null Modem/Data Monitor program. You configure a virtual port to
some unused port number, and open that port in HyperTerminal (this is just
to open the port, and isn't needed otherwise). Then, set the physical port
to the serial port number you are using to connect to your receiver (Com1,
probably). Once you have done this you can use the Data Monitor mode to
view data, either as ASCII or Hexadecimal.
