My UTStarcom 6700 uses a small headphone jack (smaller than a
mini-jack, a 3-ring, sub-mini?), and I'd like to know how I can connect
my own headphone with a mini-jack to it.
I have tried every cell phone shop and electronic outlet possible
(Fido, Rogers, Bell, Telus, London Drugs, Future Shop, Best Buy ...)
but nobody seems to have a solution (they don't have any adaptor of
that size). I bought an adaptor from The Source (Circuit City) but it
doesn't work well as it only connects when you pull the jack out
slightly and it wiggles.
Can someone provide some other solutions? Or tell me where I can get a
better adaptor??
Thanks,
Petre
Hi. I have the XV6700 and a few months ago I bought this:

It's exactly what you're looking for. Mine works great; I can use my
existing stereo (3.5mm) headphones with this adaptor, and still use the
adaptor's mic to talk if a call comes in while I'm listening to music. Only
hassle: it's $20. Good luck.
