Re: How to access Pocket Pc database

Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance

Want to alert you to the fact that .cdb and ADOCE is no longer supported on
Windows Mobile Devices. That's why you don't find support in the development
tools. Still works to some extent, and SprintDB is one way of doing so. If
you are doing this for yourself, have at it. If you are doing it for market
I would suggest you look into SQL Mobile for a solution with more longevity
for your customer's sake.

I want to develop a pocket pc based application. It will use Pocket
Access Databases (.cdb)
I have been told that to work with such kind of database, one need the
ADOCE component form "InThehand" as Microsoft DotNET framework
doesn't have
required components to access such databases.

Today I checked the InThehand website
(http://www.inthehand.com/ADOCE.aspx) and come to know that this
product is no longer sold now.

I don't want to run any database server on pocket pc. So how can i
access the Pocket Access Databases (.cdb), in the absence of component
from In The Hand? Is there any alternative to use Pocket Access
database on Pocket PC?
Regards
