That's in explorer on the desktop right? That is a universal checkbox in the
advanced settings, not a per folder one. If it is set to show hidden files
it shows them all. Might not be any, but if you use select all from the
edit menu, it selects all that are visible. If there are hidden files, those
would be missed, and might be important.

Folder options for the SD Card folder in explorer has "show hidden
files" checked.
