If the fingerprint reader is not part of WM 5.0, how is it functional on
the 2795? since this is both a WM 5.0 device, and has a finger print
reader.

Wasn't aware that you where such a major player in the hacker arena.
There was at one time an effort to make a rom for the 5550 and 5555, I
never heard if it succeeded or not. It's much more likely that the owner
is posting that his device was upgraded with the HP CD to PocketPC 2003,
I'd ask for clarification on it myself. If he has upgraded, I'd ask what
is still working then, the finger print reader is not part of WM5 as an
example.

The owner must have made a mistake. It's not possible to install, not
even "hack" WM5 on the 5550. If there were a hacked WM5 OS for it, I'd
know about it.

I know that the microsoft upgrade is only recommended for certain
devices, but has anyone ever tried installing it on a different device?
I saw an HP 5550 on ebay, and in the description, the owner said that it
had the 5.0 upgrade on it, and this device is not considered to be an
upgradeable device. Is it possible to upgrade this device, or is the
owner lieing?
