I've been using StyleTap on my Pocket Loox 720 for quite a while and I
trialed it earlier on my hx2415. I bought it when I sold my last Palm
device so I could run SmartLists-to-Go and Shadow Plan, neither of which
have "acceptable" alternatives in the WM world. (Yes, there are other
database programs and outliners for WM - but none with the feature set
and ease of use of these two Palm programs).

At $30, it was well worth the price, and the program works as
advertised. The major limitation of the program is lack of conduit
support so files have to be moved on and off the device manually. If you
can live with that limitation, then the program is great.

Also, it is best to use with a VGA device as QVGA devices will not run
at the higher resolution modes and quite frankly, look pretty crappy. On
a VGA device, running at 360x360 looks as good as it does on a Palm
device running at that resolution. I agree with Warner that the lack of
480x320 support is a major shortcoming - even in landscape mode, you
still only get 360x360. I was really hoping that they would add support
for this resolution in the 1.x version, but it didn't happen.

At its current price, I would be extremely reluctant to buy. I thought
$30 was reasonable, but $49 is really too much unless you really have an
overwhelming need to run a Palm OS program on your WM device and there's
no alternative in a native WM program. It'll be interesting to see how
well it sells at that price point or if they'll be forced to lower the
price. As Warner states, you'd probably be better off just buying a used
T3 for not much more than the current cost of StyleTap.
