Re: Microsoft Activesync 4.5 beta 2 (Build 5059) Problem

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

"Remote PC Sync (via WiFi or LAN) has been removed due to Enterprise
customer
feedback around security issues."

Removing a feature they can do!! Do you think any "Enterprise customer"
might have asked the to fix the shambles that is PIE and messaging. That
went into the too hard basket but a handy and useful feature can be yanked
out, no problem.

Trying to find a 1st world answer to a 3rd world problem aint easy.
Trying to find a 3rd world answer to a 1st world problem isn't a walk in the
park either.
To mail spam is really hot but please reply to thread so all may benefit (or

Going to the link, and then navigating to the bottom of the Overview
shows:

ActiveSync 4.5 Beta 2 supports PC sync via USB cable, Bluetooth, or
infrared connection.

No reference to WiFi...

And in the "Additional Information" section, they've got:
Remote PC Sync (via WiFi or LAN) has been removed due to Enterprise
customer feedback around security issues.

And in the "Readme.doc" file, this little jewel exists:
ActiveSync 4.5 does not support remote synchronization.

So I'm thinking not. But hopefully I'll be pleasantly surprised. :)

Any chance MS have restored Sync via Wireless/Ethernet in this release?
