Re: Hard reset

Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance

Try it once more. The 2210 is famous for refusing to be hard reset. In
general, when I (many times a month) hard reset my 2210, I have to try 2-3-4
times before I manage to really do it.

Thanks Werner, but that didn't work!

Screen contents and backlight did not fade but device offered to boot in
safe mode.

I've removed all installed programs manually - using "Remove Programs" so
think it may now be clean offer to pass on to friend.

Would you agree?

Press the two lowermost buttons (Calendar and iTask) at the same time
and, while keeping them pressed, long-reset your PDA. If the contents of
the screen and the backlight fades away, you're set - release everything,
wait a second and reset again.

Having bought an iPAQ2490 to replace my old iPAQ2210 which ahs been
dropped once too often I will shortly be offering the old device to a
friend of mine.

I'm assuming a hard reset will wipe all data from the 2210? Can someone
remind me how to do a hard reset on it?

Thanks in advance.

Steve
