Strange you find the rx1950 screen *that* bad. Newer HP screens are pretty
good when compared to older transflective screens like that of the iPAQ
1930/1940, 4150 or, particularly, the 2210. These latter devices indeed
sucked at rendering vivid reddish hues. (Also see my comparative
screenshots: http://www.winmobiletech.com/SCREENQUALITY/ and
http://www.winmobiletech.com/VSHX4700/ )
Can you post some comparative photos so that we can see whether you have a
defective unit (I don't think so) or you just expect more of these screens
(which they aren't able to deliver - not even the best screens - the
Fujitsu-Siemens VGA screens or the hx4700 are as good as, for example, OLED
screens)

This just dawned on me: I rarely see a true bright red/scarlet hue in
apps on my new iPAQ rx1950. Has anyone else noticed this?
One of the worst implementations is in Solitare. The "red" cards are
unsually difficult to read. They have a miserable brownish brick color
that, if you notice, contrasts dramatically with the true scarlet in
the little Windows logo in the U.L. corner.
I'm reminded of that old Superman movie where Superman goes astray and
the red of his "S" logo turns into a measly maroon, until he finds his
path again and, ripping his shirt open, you see the good ol' scarlet
hue again.
This PPC sure doesn't look like an "RGB" device.
