I would like to know how that worked. I just started having this
problem today and I am on the new Cingular 2.25 ROM. I cannot shut off
my alarms and as I recently upgraded my ROM I would really rather not
go through reinstalling everything again. Any other tips?

At the recommendation of Cingular, I upgraded my ROM from v1.8x to 2.25.
Note that this requires a hard reboot (you lose all none stored data).
This upgrade seemed to resolve the alarm problem and a performance
degradation performance issues I experienced.
Here is the link to upgrade

had a similar problem, all I can advise is don't use the Alarm function,
use
reminders instead.....
Solved the problem, by doing a rest on the device.

This is the second Cingular 8125 exhibiting the same problem, so I am no
longer suspecting a hardware issue.
Repro:
Select Clock & Alarms
Set an alarm for Sun-Sat at 11pm
If your lucky the alarm will go off (randomly works).
Now for the fun - NOT!
Change the alaram to be 7am for use as an Alarm clock.
Now go to bed at 10pm.
The old alarm will continue to go off at 11pm, even after several soft
resets of the device.
