I clicked and got through....
Its a pointer to:
"Sony's soon-to-be-released tiny VAIO UX Micro PC
The VAIO UX Micro PC is loaded with almost all the features you could want in a mobile PC and everything fits into a case that's 5.91" x 3.74" x 1.50". It weighs 1.2 pounds with its standard battery, lighter than the OQO Model 01+.
The UX Micro PC comes with a 1.20 GHz Intel Core Solo U1400 ultra low voltage CPU (Front Side Bus 533 MHz), 512 MB of DDR2 PC2-3200 400 MHz RAM. The 30 GB Ultra ATA hard disk drive runs at 4200 RPM.
The UX's widescreen Sony XBright SVGA display has a resolution of 1024 x 600 and can be used in landscape or portrait mode.
Local area networking is provided by Intel's PRO/Wireless 3945ABG (802.11a/b/g) network adapter. Bluetooth is also included. The UX Micro PC has one on-board USB 2.0 port and a memory stick DUO slot. A VGA adaptor and a port replicator come with the tiny PC. The port adapter includes three USB 2.0 ports, an IEEE 1394/Firewire port, VGA and AV-out ports, a wired Ethernet port and a DC-in jack. The VGA adapter includes ports for VGA, Ethernet and AV-out.
Battery life is estimated at 2.5-4.5 hours with the standard battery and 5.0-9.5 hours with the high capacity battery. The super-PDA comes with Windows XP Pro.

**WM5 seems to be closer to a glorified mail/contacts/calendar/media
device than a portable Windows computer.**
That's exactly right, Microsoft intends the Pocket PC to be a desktop
*companion* device, intentionally not a standalone computing device
(although with some effort, it can almost serve that role).
I.e., WM5 seems to be only incrementally better than Palm OS.
Sure, it's got more FEATURES--IR, WiFi, and it plays music & videos.
But those are, at least for me, secondary to running garden-variety
office applications. The SOFTWARE seems to be crippled.
Actually I believe current PalmOS devices can do all that stuff too.
Yes, Pocket PC/Windows Mobile is playing in the same space as PalmOS,
not as desktop Windows. The features of the built-in software are
commensurate with that role. And as often pointed out here, it's good
enough for the majority of users' needs (including mine), and those
people are happy not to have to pay for features they don't need.
Better software can be purchased by those that need it.
So perhaps I need to upgrade to a Sony U, and sell the iPAQ.
Well, check the battery life, and see if that meets your needs - those
devices typically have shorter run time than laptops (< 2hrs). I would
personally love a PDA-sized device that ran a full desktop OS, however
I also want battery life at least as good as the best current PDAs,
and software that has good usability on that little screen when on the
move. Oh, and I'd like it to cost about the same as a top-end PDA too.
Unfortunately such devices don't exist yet, but I'm sure they will
sooner or later.
