iPAQ charge/USB cable configuration is reversed.

The configuration of the combination charge/USB cable shipped with my
HP iPAQ is the opposite of what it should be.
It is a USB cable, into which you must plug an AUXILIARY cable to
charge the device.
But, you recharge the device far more often, and certainly in far more
locations, than you sync it at the SINGLE location of your desktop.
So they make you lug two cables around just to recharge the thing in
wall sockets throughout Western civilization as we know it today.
I mean, HUH?
Does HP or someone make a cable with that logic reversed, or better, a
recharge-only cable?
