Standard software: it's indeed weak. However, you can get 3rd party
software. In that area, WinMob is clearly the best.
BT keyboard: you CAN use the StowAway keyboard (is that that you have?) with
even PC's and Symbian OS PDA's. Also, I don't think you'll ever get a
foldable full-size BT keyboard so small (folded) as the StowAway for $20 :)
Syncing with other apps than Outlook: get IntelliSync or, for Outlook
Express, SyncExpress (

It is highly unlikely that I would ever wish to make another posting on
this forum as I am electing to resign from my club membership of the
collective of Pocket PC owners.
Charging or otherwise, even when a Pocket PC is functioning, the
standard software provided on them is feeble, practically unusable.
Have you ever tried writing a 1000 word report one letter at a time on
one of them, RSI ensues.
So you buy an external bluetooth keyboard = $80
That keyboard doesn't work with anything else.
Price of a keyboard for a normal PC = $20
Why the fourfold difference?
Pocket PCs only sync with MS Outlook. Why no other product? Why not
Outlook Express? Or other product?
I don't use MS Outlook on my desktop so all edits have to be performed
manually.
Another poster has already described the feebleness of the Pocket
Excel. I will not add my view.
Why don't Pocket PCs automatically come with a light, foldaway stand so
you can read the news at breakfast comfortably, to enable them to stand
upright?
MS Reader works quite well, but it would be infinitely more useful if
it had Text to Speech as well. Ubook is better with Zipped Ebooks.
As for the MP3 player I'd rather use my Ipod.
In my view the Pocket PC is really only useful as a read only device.
The H5555 did not have a native landscape mode, a serious oversight!!!
No USB port, so no peripherals.
No proper means of controlling ActiveSync partnerships on the Pocket PC
itself.
As for HP's styli they are terrible. Far too small.
Managing files on a Pocket PC is like performing keyhole surgery.
