Voice Cmd - iPaq hx2496 - Setup question

Directions say to associate a "Button" with Voice Command. Which is "Button
1"? If it's the one on the upper left side, that one seems wired to an
audio-record function. Buttons 2 & 3 appear stuck on Outlook and Contacts.
Where is #4?
Has anyone gotten this to work? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
