Re: memory low

Another (freeware) app you may wish to try is called Fast Cleanup v1.3.
You can find it at http://www.pdagold.com/software/detail.asp?s=535.

Features:
- Delete all temporary files under \Temp directory.
- Delete all Avantgo downloaded files.
- Delete all IE downloaded files (cache, cookies and history files).
- Find the cached files and directories (even located on external card)
and delete them automatically.

You may also wish to use a file manager like Total Commander to look at
where your applications really ended up being installed at. I've seen
several applications install to the main program memory even though I
had selected the storage card during the installation.

I had an rx1955 using WM5 for a few weeks. It only had 32 MB of RAM
(half of what yours has), and after everything loaded, I was left with
10-12 MB to use for programs. I didn't have much of a problem with
that, since I used a freeware program called Magic Button. You can
find it at http://www.freewareppc.com/utilities/magicbutton.shtml.
What this program will do for you, is to actually shut down
applications when you click on the "X" in the upper right corner of an
app, instead of letting them sit in the background.

Lastly, when you're looking around to see what is taking up your
precious RAM, look for the various places where your browser will store
the cache. I've found my hx2415 stores the cache in multiple
places...which it isn't supposed to do, but does.

Good luck,
Chris
