OK here are is one of my benchmarks conducted today on my standard battery.
My dell axim high that I got used actually did quite well with the device
left on with the screen off lasting 6hours and 19 min that ofcourse is with
no internet connection or bt running. Now, what is evening more strange is
the batmemtime is showing the backup now at full strength. Weird.
BatMemtime is showing estimated time for battery 2 hours and 48 min when it
is put in fresh so I am wondering if my batteries where not fully charged
before. I charge them in the sync cradle and I am wondering if when the green
light appears it is not actually at full charge. I will let them charge
overnight and see if the initial charge percentage changes on a fresh battery.

I am doing some benchmarks today and I will post my results. It may be
helpful for those who need a comparison.
Personally, I think the standard battery life stinks and wonder myself about
used batteries as all of mine are pretty consistant in their results. I can
get 1hr 46 min from no wifi or bt connection. I put in a freshly charged
standard battery and immediately the charge drops to 89 %. It has always done
that on both of my devices with three different batteries. If the bt or wifi
is on then as I said up above my battery stinks and I am lucky if I get a
half hour. That is why I use the 1700mhz battery.
All I can say is that it seems evident that either something is up with the
batteries from dell or something is up with the refurbished items they send
out. Both of mine are replacements for previous new devices that needed
service.

I recently purchased a used unit with no sync port. I can charge the
replacement battery for it and it will run but the backup battery is not
at
full charge because I cannot put it in a cradle so I notice that no matter
what kind of battery I put in it, the battery immediately drains. I have
another axim that is my orignal and the benchmarks aren't the greatest
with a
standard battery with wifi enabled (about 30 min) However, if I use the
extended battery I get about 3 hours with wifi sometimes more.
