If you are looking for a flexible GPS receiver option, Fry's has Delorme's original BT "solution" on sale until Tue for $80 (after rebate)

(note that the sale price is sometimes only offered online if your address matches one of their store locations)
The unit is basically a usb receiver with a BT "backpack" plus the receiver also has serial out option using an optional cable.
The lack of "logging" capabilities is a negative, but it does have waas which makes a major reception difference.
