ActiveSync questions

Hi everyone,
As a novice in the PDA area (got my first PDA- an HP ipaq hx2490- last
Wednesday) i am still struggling with issues that arise....
I installed ActiveSync 4.1 on my laptop and using the cradle and USB
connectivity, it worked fine. Then i bought a Belkin USB bluetooth
adapter and managed to make ActiveSync to work over bluetooth (trust
me...it was not as straightforward as described in several web
pages...anyway) only to find out that it somehow messed up with the USB
ActiveSync USB connectivity, which does not work anymore. When i plug
in the USB connector i dont even get the sound from Windows that
something was plugged in. If i install again ActiveSync the USB works
again, if i do then Activesync using Bluetooth then the USB stops
again..
Even over Bluetooth i have the problem that when a file needs
considerable convertion in order to be transferred from the laptop to
the PDA (i noticed it especially for pdf files), it is converted but
when it starts being transmitted to the PDA the ActiveSync connection
goes down...if i transfer files that dont need convertion over
ActiveSync, then no problem...has anyone had this problem in the past?
Also, is it possible to 'see' the SD card when transferring a file
through ActiveSync, so that i can eg transfer a file that doesnt fit in
the ROM straight to the SD without having to remove the SD card from
the PDA, plug it to the laptop, put the file in it and then back to the
PDA?
Thanks for any answers/suggestions.
