How about using a handheld PC as an internet radio?
So if I had a handheld PC, with plugged in power supply and a set of PC
Simple to use? Quick initial boot up? FM quality sound?
Any thoughts gratefully recieved
Can't say exactly what you are looking for on the PPC as far as convenience
items, but for a good site to use for initiating streaming on the PPC check
out http://www.thestreamcenter.com/pda/
As for a program that is not free, check out Resco's Pocket Radio. It can
pull the 128k Virgin radio stream with no problem on a PPC, and it sounds
quite nice when hooked up to an amplified system. It supports formats that
media player will not (ogg, etc.) and has big buttons to select the channel.
There is a trial available.
Of course there is shoutcast to look at as well.
