Thanx Clinton. This has been going on since I bought the device 2 weeks ago.
The only software I have installed is iSilo and ePocrates.
I don't think they have timers.
Is there a setting hidden somewhere that tries to check email at intervals?
I don't use outlook on the mobile, but I set up a connection to my pop3
server. I think I have set it to only connect when I request it.
Thanx....frank

Joisey,
It sounds to me like you have some sort of application that is firing off
at
a interval timer. Is this something that has recently happened? Can you
correlate it with the loading of a new piece of software? If so, have you
tried to uninstall the software to see if that resolves the problem?
Regards,

I am using a sprint ppc6700, with WM 5.0
It seems to turn itself on several times an hour, whether it is in its
cradle or in the supplied belt case.
Is there any way to stop this?
I frequently find when I take it out of its case, that some random
program
has been opened and various selections made.
I worry it may delete or change something.
This certainly must run down the battery.
I do not use exchange server, and sync only with the cable.
As far as I know, it only dials sprint for my pop3 account when I click
on
"send/receive messages."
When in the cradle, it seems to synch every 5 min or so. I thought it
would
only synch when first plugged in, or when I made a change in one of the
synched files.
thanx....joisey
