Hello,
I'm using an HP6515 mobile messenger
Cingular wireless GPRS/EDGE connection installed and working.
I've installed SP31518 wireless modem from HP.com downloads
laptop with XP SP2
I've followed the instructions to create connection on the HP6515 and
Windows XP laptop. I'm using the following step to connect:
I have the HP6515 in the cradle. I start the wireless modem connection on
the HP6515. I see the status message "start service..."
I plug the cradel USB cable into the laptop. If I plug the USB cable in
before starting the wireless modem software I get the message on the HP6515
"COM OPEN ERROR".
I dial the HTC USB connection on the laptop. I briefly see the status
message "connecting..." on the HP6515.
On the laptop, I get the error message:
error 734: the PPP link control protocol was terminated.
I've re-installed the wireless modem software on the HP6515 and laptop. I've
rebooted both machines. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
.
