Re: Blue Tooth Foldable keyboard

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

I just got a blue tooth foldable keyboard for my Hp Ipaq HX 2495
and have several questions (yes....it works fine.)

1. How come I had to install from the CD? I thought the WM 5.0 device

was
supposeed to work with the HP foldable keyboard out of the box? (i. e.

have
the keyboard driver built in.)
2. Is the device holder on the left side of the keyboard as fragile as

it looks?
Do people use that or do they have an alternative way to hold the
device?
It just seems to me the device holder is fragile, that it may break
easily.
3. How do you turn the power off? I was looking at the manual and
found nothing about turning off the power. There is something about
it
going into "sleep" mode after a while but it doesn't say how to turn it

off
or how long it takes for sleep mode to occur.
4.Finally can I change the passkey from 0000 to another number? Is it
something to worry about where the device comes out of the box with
the 0000 passkey? Does this mean someone can access my device
with this passkey? Why wouldn't the passkey be the serial number?
5. How do I plug in an ac adaptor for
the device? Past devices had a spot to
plug in AC.
6. How come when I turn the Ipaq on it
doesn't immediatly find the keyboard?
I have to go in to foldable keyboard on
the program menu and choose the
keyboard. (Although it doesn't ask
for the serial number code.)
7. Is there a way to get the keyboard to run
on AC power? (So I can convserve batteries?)
8. Considering the way the device attaches
(or doesn't attach) to the BT keyboard, is
it my imagination or is the conventional
folding keyboard for the Ipaq better designed?:
(The conventional folding keybaords seem to
have more sturdy set up for holding the device.....
as opposed to the HP keyboard which
looks like it will fall apart if you sneeze or
look at it the wrong way.)
9. How many BT devices can be used at one time? Can I use BT devices
like the keyboard
while using Bluetooth?

I'm now wondering did I make the right choice getting the blue tooth
keyboard?
Considering how fragile the device holder on the keyboard is I'm
wondering
should I have gotten the regular keyboard?
