Make sure that neither of those two programs are running when you try to
attach from Pocket Streets. Only one can access the comm port at a time. The
Comm port is specific to the CF card so if it is Comm 2 on WinFast and a
term program it will be comm two in PS as well. You do need to do the
configure in PS and set Com 2 before you try to open it.

I have tried a terminal emulator as well as another GPS specific product
(Leadtek's WinFast Navigator) and they both allow the selection of a com
port (Com 2) and the baud rate. In other words they were able to detect
the
available ports and after selecting the correct one, successfully
processed
the GPS data stream. I don't understand why Pocket Streets won't detect
them. Anyway, thanks for your suggestions.

It sounds as if the com discovery process is being prevented from
Would suggest a soft reset, then put the casio on charge and try again
with a full charge _while still connected to the charger_ as it's
posible that the card is demanding too much power and is not functioning
fully.
Next, load a terminal emulator such as vxHPC from http://cam.com and see
if you can "see" the receiver and it's data stream in the terminal
window... check the receiver manual to set the com (probably 4800,8,n,1)
If you can see the data in a terminal emulator, start streets and see if
you can set the same com port with the receiver not inserted, then
insert the receiver and try again.
Beyond that, it's back to pharos tech support.
