It sounds as if the com discovery process is being prevented from completion

Would suggest a soft reset, then put the casio on charge and try again with a full charge _while still connected to the charger_ as it's posible that the card is demanding too much power and is not functioning fully.

Next, load a terminal emulator such as vxHPC from http://cam.com and see if you can "see" the receiver and it's data stream in the terminal window... check the receiver manual to set the com (probably 4800,8,n,1)

If you can see the data in a terminal emulator, start streets and see if you can set the same com port with the receiver not inserted, then insert the receiver and try again.

Beyond that, it's back to pharos tech support.
